A well cut extremely rare Demantoid Garnet Cabochon from Namibia. Stones over 2 carats are extremely rare and are considered more valuable. This stone has good clarity despite having some inclusions and moderate color saturation. It doesn't have that deep green color saturation. Instead it has a lighter yellow green color saturation which is of lesser value than the prized deep green stones. It is arguably the most sought after of the rare Garnets and is extremely rare to find this large. Definitely a high end gemstone of good quality.
